Saudi Arabia’s National Centre for Meteorology has issued a weather alert warning of heavy rainfall expected to impact large parts of the Kingdom from 14th (Friday) through 18th (Tuesday). Authorities have urged residents to take precautions, with unstable weather conditions forecast to bring intense downpours, thunderstorms and potential flash floods across several regions.
The weather system is expected to affect a broad area, including Mecca, Jeddah, Medina, Tabuk, Al Jouf, the Northern Borders region, and Riyadh.
The centre noted that the multi-day system may vary in intensity from one region to another, with certain areas likely to experience severe rainfall leading to water accumulation and temporary disruptions.
Authorities said all relevant departments are on alert and prepared to respond to potential emergencies, calling on the public to prioritise safety and comply with official instructions.
