RRS International Development has officially broken ground on the NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments, a $100m mixed-use project developed in collaboration with Minor Hotels. The milestone marks the arrival of the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand on Al Marjan Island for the first time and follows the success of its debut branded residential offering in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

Oversubscribed at launch, the project has generated strong investor demand. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Rakesh Mirchandani, co-founder of RRS International Development and partner at RRS Capital Management, said: “This groundbreaking is more than the start of construction—it’s the beginning of a new chapter fofr this incredible project and celebration of the overwhelming interest we have received. Oversubscribed at launch, we are grateful for the investor confidence shown in both the NH Collection brand and RAK’s emergence as a world-class lifestyle destination.”

The development will feature 121 hotel keys and 36 branded apartments, blending five-star hospitality with contemporary residential living. Its wave-inspired architecture, designed by Arkiplan Consulting Architects & Engineers, reflects the motion of the ocean, while tropical interiors by B8 Architectural Prospective Drawings Services incorporate greenery, open layouts, and vibrant décor. The result is a distinctive fusion of tropical luxury and desert mystique.

Project delivery is supported by a consortium of consultants and contractors: HMK Engineering Consultants has been appointed Architect of Record, Innovate Project Development serves as Project Manager, and Atlas Star Piling Foundation has been named enabling works contractor.

Sanjay Narayandas Dhawan, co-founder of RRS International Development and partner at RRS Capital Management commented: “We see Ras Al Khaimah at a turning point. With multi-billion-dirham investments in tourism and leisure, including upcoming gaming resorts, the Emirate is attracting a new wave of international attention. This development aligns with that momentum, setting a new benchmark for branded residences and hospitality-led living in the region.”

The NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments underscores RRS International Development’s strategy of delivering high-quality, design-led projects that meet strong investor demand. Alongside the project, RRS is planning new developments across prime UAE locations and a pioneering digital venture designed to make smart, luxury properties more accessible and profitable.
